After much anticipation, and seeing all kind of masks being advertised all over de place, The Phantom Of The Opera had finally arrived. The Commission, who were the promoters, hosted the 5th of its kind “Eyes Wide Shut.” Already having a reputation of being one of the better fetes, people came out in their numbers to party the night away.

From as early as 11 PM, the party was already packed with partygoers. In keeping with the theme, the majority of the crowd were dressed in black and well boy, we must make mention of the women. Besides being everywhere, they looked sexy as can be!! Doh talk about the Benson & Hedges girls… Double wow!! Some fellas might have picked up smoking as a habit by the end of this night ;-) Well things looking good so far. Dance ram, plenty women and aye de drinks free… Johnnie included! A variety of food was also lined up for patrons, complimented with top of de line Häagen-Dazs ice cream, which was served all night long.

People were really given their money’s worth, even though most only made use of the bar facilities. Now good drinks and nice people are not the only things that make a party memorable and enjoyable.... there is also the music! The DJ’s did a great job. Judging from the vibe of the crowd DJ’s such as Tweeze, Detrimental and Slaughter definitely knew what they were doing. At about 4 AM though, promoters were asked to shut down the music. In a continuing effort to keep the masses happy, the DJ ingeniously lowered the decibel levels, streaming all audio through a single 15” box. Well you know with that one party continue.

Even big artist such as K.M.C and wifey were in da house. It was truly an enjoyable event and one to which TJJ gives our thumbs up rating . We telling you from now, look out for The Commission doing big things come Old Year's night.
