TJJ walked into Country Club at about twenty to twelve and headed straight to the stage. Live performances were already taking place, with the new Soca band Kaotik representing... so it was no time to waste as we had to capture ah piece of de action.

After Kaotik's performance, we then proceeded to browse the crowd and check out de scenes. There was a good turn out and the party vibe seemed cool. Unveiling of the new costumes however, always brings about ah feeling of anxiety. And from recent experiences, somehow the presentations never kick off on time. Is this some kinda band launching conspiracy??!! Humm... we wonder! At about 1 AM the ball was set in motion, and The Dream Team Carnival Committee officially began the launch of their Mas Presentation for 2K7 ... "Rhythm Nation".

Costumes were displayed by the usual sexy local models, who made their entrance to the stage from two different angles. Some came from the front originating from backstage, while others made their way through the crowd before they were able to grace the stage. The 15 section band presented a display which focused on the complex diversity of T&T's culture as it related to song, music and dance. Some of the section names were "Eco Rhythms", "Chutney Bacchanal" and "Samba Fever".

Claudette Peters then came on and performed, closing off the almost one hour long presentation. In an array of confetti and dance, the models departed. There were also some other guest artists who performed and then last but not least, Imij & Co. came on at about 2 AM. They satisfied the crowd's craving for Soca as usual, but also mixed up their repertoire with a wide cross section of selections. Wrapping up their performance at a little after 3 AM, they handed the entertainment torch over to the Rhythm Section who carried things on for about another 15 minutes.

It was at about that time we decided to buss de tape and head out. Reporting from another band launching in sweet Trini ... this is TJJ signing out from Maraval.
