Now the last time I saw 12, they blew me away with their Jazzy Caribbean style of music, so I was really happy to come out to this event and show some TJJ love. The band's objective is a conscious effort to fuse our indigenous music, primarily Calypso, with other popular forms of music e.g. Reggae, Rock, Soul, Jazz etc. to create a sound affectionately called "Earth Force" music. Carrying on my 2 Stag tradition on a Tuesday, which usually ends up in a dutty wine at Attic, I got there at 10pm. People were already packed in at the Café, and 12 was already grooving. On the inside, everyone was really 'vibes-ing' as they chilled with the other local Trini bands. I apologize if my review seems short, but it's pretty much the same vibes every Tuesday at Woodford Café. Now, I always recommend going to see 12 cause Sheldon Holder (Rhythm Guitar and Lead Vocals) is mad-sick and I love it. For info on the band, be sure to check out www.12theband.com or www.myspace.com/12theband. Big up to Gabby for looking fly as usual. OUCH ... HOT! Sorry guys, she got ah man!! I have definitely found my lime for Tuesday nite in Trini. Peace, Keyz ==================================== |
