Imagine the horror when we realized there was no FRIENDS party listed for the first weekend in September!! Nah, Nah it cyah be so! But we were soon put to ease as this rounds it was a special dose of FRIENDS it was ah “Back In Times” jam and you know how we foot hot... so we dey! Presented by SocaWeb.com & sixAxis Ent, all roads led to Sosta Lounge in downtown Hollywood and with all man jack free before 12am, we planned on getting there early to avoid any sort of lock off at d’door.

TJJ rolled up just at midnight and already crowd was decent, music was jammin’ ... we ready! As always before we get down to business, first move... drinks! One thing about this venue, de bartenders doh make jokes with yuh drinks... strong fuh so! Bwoy, people call dem “Mr T” drinks, yes! In other words..... pity the fool who think they could handle them with ease! Another nice touch was the two bottles of channa located at the bar. Club owners should take note that a bowl of nuts with everyone dipping into it is less than sanitary, where as with the bottles of channa... simply grab and pour. And ohhhhhh, we must mention the mints made available, cause nobody ent wanna talk to yuh if yuh breath smell like channa and corn soup! Good looking out fellas!

With Major Links on the one’s and two’s the vibes was sweet going back in time with some serious old rockers, dub & classic 90’s hits such as Noel's "Silent Morning" and an all time crowd pleaser, New Edition’s “If It Isn’t Love”! Beats were switched up when C.I.DEE Sound took over and it was Soca time. “Oooo they call meh call Papa Chunks....” Yes some serious old time throw down, but we have to admit, when they step out the Back In Times theme and tease us with ah lil' Machel Montano “Jumbie” ... de crowd went into ah frenzy! But that “outta body” was short lived and it was “back to yuhself” LOL...

Nevertheless, it was way after 4am when the party started to wrap up and it’s safe to say a good time was had by everyone. After all, we are ALL FRIENDS ent!
