Well this is a first... it's only 2pm and the TJJ crew is on their way to the Blue Cruise which is set to sail at 3pm. What ah relief to not have to run red lights and terrify pedestrians to rush to the boat. So we cruising... cause we have no other choice.... the whether was a disaster! Pouring rain with no signs of relief and we're all wondering how will this impact the turnout. Me, I wasn't worried. For one, it's another Rango production, and two, the cruise has been sold out for days!

We got to the pier and to our surprise we're the first ones there!! The crew was still busy setting up back and forth through the rain. We stepped on board. The boat has two floors with the top floor overlooking the wooden dance floor of the bottom floor. There was a bar on each floor and the food was beautifully, not to mention professionally well displayed. But with all those aromas and the sight of that roti, my belly started carrying on conversations with me, so ah decided to give myself a little tour of the boat. Gone upstairs on the deck and to my surprise all ah could see was a sea of umbrellas. Where all these people come from? But what de jail.... time for bacchanal... lol !!

Hmmm.... allyuh islanders not easy nah. Yuh would have never thought it was raining the way it was because before you know it the line for the food was round de bend on the other side of the boat. DJ Anonymous warming it up with some sweet, sweet old Soca as the boat leaves the pier and everyone's looking just dapper in their Sunday best.

Suddenly all I hear was, "the Party Rocker on the inside" and everybody break away!! Back to Basics on the one's and two's ready to stamp his name on this boatride. This man start to play disco that made me feel like I was six again, taking everyone down memory lane and had us all two-stepping and ting. But just so music stop.... we all want to know what going on? Yuh would think the DJ would do some explaining or even fiddle around to fix what everyone thought was technical difficulties, but instead he looking at the crowd with ah big grin on his face. "Ah party is not ah party if yuh doh hear this," he says. And then the sweet, sweet sounds of a tenor pan played by TnT pannist Dane Gulston to the melodies of JUMBIE, JUMBIE DEM.... RAH!!!!! COMMESS!!!!! BACCHANAL!!!!! Just look through this gallery nah and trust meh yuh go know from the pictures what ah talking about... lol. Well de ting just went over de top, that I ain't realize we back at the pier.... damn we back ah-ready???!!!

It too early!!!! Allyuh cyah do we this and den tell we go home!!!! Everyone unwillingly started to spill off the boat... whey we going???? De ISLAND of course.... cause we fetting again, wining season!

Amazing time, now ah totally understand why everyone came despite the rain... cause for a memory like this, I would too!!!! Great Job Rango and Crew.

Karen for the TJJ fam
