TJJ strolled in at about 1 AM. Now since this was not any formal function or the likes, one o’ clock seemed like a pretty ok-ish timing to hit a party ... don’t think there was anything in particular for us to miss out on like an opening speech or sermon.... lol. So we were at the Oval tonight up in the Trini Posse Stands. The experience was new to us as we never quite attended ah fete at this unusual location before.

Being in the stands, patrons had quite a scenic view of the Oval’s entire cricket field. Also the party area itself was more spread out lengthwise than in width, with smoke machines and fancy light work located along the roof which created a nightclub like ambiance. Two bars were located at each end of the venue allowing for a smooth flow of drinks amongst patrons, which is always an important thing!

Now before we arrived, there was talk circulating that things on de inside weren’t looking too good. We don’t know jus how accurate dis talk was, cause by the time we arrived, de music pumpin' and the dance floor was pretty much filled out with partygoers, while mad paparazzi did their ting. Perhaps certain folks shud have checked out de handbook on what time Trini's does come to fete ... rarely before 12 (except when it's Carnival time)!!!

Well besides the nice crowd that Big Phat Fish had, we think it was the music that really created the mood and made the night as good as it was. Detrimental with Private Ryan and also XTC sure made their names tonight with the versatile sessions they put down. The back in times was definitely a classic!

Now the only bad thing about a party picking up late, is the fact that it gives people less time to really fete and enjoy themselves. At about 4 AM things began winding down.... we used up our last set of drink chits, said our good-byes and big'd up de DJs. De TJJ paparazzi session didn't stop til we reach our car, yes! Ah mus say, dis Summer was rhel pace for TJJ!!
