July 1st 2007 has arrived and the anticipation is the same as of past years for the annual long weekend Caribbean Extravaganza, Unite de Nations, this year hosted by Mr. Machel Montano himself. TJJ arrived at Wild Water Kingdom approximately 10pm (early eh) and it was pleasant to see that in spite of the very cold weather partygoers showed up in full force to enjoy the evening.
Well as mentioned before, it was cold, so having said that it is safe to say that there was no car park lime for TJJ this year.... well maybe just ah small lime, just long enough to get something to warm up de bones :-) On de inside was another story though, with the strong DJ line up and plenty food to choose from, like roti, corn soup and chinne chicken, everyone was sayin', "Cold wha cold??!!"
The spectacular line up of artists did their fair share to heat up the place. We talkin' bout Rikki Jai, Edwin Yearwood, Iwer, Destra and a guest performance by Machel Montano, and this is just to mention a few on the star-studded line up. Each performer had an easy night of entertaining the Wild Water Kingdom crowd, since they were hyped and enthusiastic with the expectation of an amazing Caribana'07 season and parade day, especially the Carnival Nationz' 2007 Big Top masqueraders.
Hats off to Bryce, Curtis, Marcus, Dwyane and the entire Unite De Nationz committee for yet another successful event. If you're ever in Toronto for the Summer, this is definitely one of the events you shouldn't miss. See you all at the Carnival Nationz Annual Boat Cruise on July 22nd... All Aboard!
