‘Twas a dark and stormy night, not a creature was stirring, no one wanted to leave dey house! If yuh see rain for so, and jus when we was saying F.R.I.E.N.D.S. rell lucky in over a year of doing parties in South FL they never get rain out, well tonight seemed like their luck ran out. Eh heh who say so?! First, was the text message that one party get cancelled, then the phonecall; “Yuh hear so 'n so cancel their party tonight too?” A quick call to the folks at sixAxis Ent. and they say, “Nah man, we ain’t cancel ... we still on!!” And is down de road TJJ gone!!

Typically on the Saturday before South Florida Carnival the folks over at Mascots International usually have the Pre-Carnival Warm Up for the Mascots crew. Well most of the Mascots crews does usually be up in F.R.I.E.N.D.S., and this year, the Saturday before Carnival was the 1st Saturday of the month ... so it was only natural for them to combine like a Transfomer and do this party together! Now the Mascots Mas Camp is in a house and the vibe in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is always like a 'house party' vibe, so we were certainly looking forward to this one.

We get to Hollywood around 12:30am, and it wet but not really raining, at least not in Hollywood. The place still pretty empty and, there is no DJ on the set and half the promoters missing. Is a good thing the owner of Sosta Lounge had that one Beyonce song on his iPhone. smile But, shortly after Major Links arrives, and is plug and play, a lil' while after them is Majesty Sound, imported from Mascots Int'l, then the Mascots crew themselves with Super Jigga TC of Synergy TV in T&T. So while they getting situated, Major Links done start to warm up the session with soca one time ... ah mean, after all, this is the Pre-Carnival Warm Up!

Slowly but surely, folks just kept coming thru the door - those who were already dressed and planning to go elsewhere and those who jus love off F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and were coming rain or (moon) shine. Around 2am, the place filled with a nice sized crowd, especially for such a rainy night, including some New Yorkers who came down extra early for the Carnival ... yes Kelly Ann, we mean you and your crew! With that, is party in the place oui!! The DJ and them say if allyuh coming out in the rain then let we have a time, and a good time was had by all.

Majesty Sound added a nice mix to the line up with some good reggae seletions and the right amount of hip-hop. TC does always know how to move a crowd! Maybe T.C. stands for "Take Control", ‘cause he had the people them waist moving. There was some talk of this being the best F.R.I.E.N.D.S. episode of the year, but let's wait till the Miami Carnival Episode to judge.
