Soka Junkie: Ring.. ring.. ring.. “Hello, ah need some Soca Therapy quick.. where meh docta?!”
Receptionist: Sorry ma’am, he’ll be making ah HOUSE CALL tonight at Island Mix. If yuh need him, yuh know where to find him!!!!

With TJJ's Daddy Juice & The Party Appraiser in town (in transit to Miami for Carnival), the crew was definitely in need of some Soca & Reggae this weekend, so there was only once place we heading. We filled up our tanks and got some goodies for de road as we started to head east. We arrived at Island Mix around 10pm, just in time to buss up some pepper shrimp and Chinese fried wantons ... yuuuum! With our bellies’ full, de drinking started and it was a wrap from that ... lol! People came early to eat some delicious food, while others came with their drinking faces on.

Providing us with some real Soca Therapy and Reggae Remedies for the night was de doctor himself, Dr. Jay - all hosted by one of his K.O.S famz, E Man. By 1am, the place was packed. The bar was flooded with patrons and the dancefloor felt like it was moving with all jumpin’ and wavin’. Chunes were blaring through the speakers set by set and fete-go’ers couldn’t ask for more ... they were getting de prescription they needed and more! Dr. Jay even throw down a slows session ... yes, a slow jam session! And it was pure pressure inside the dance when he dropped R. Kelly's "Bump N Grind". Reminded of us the good ole days back in Nuts on a UWI night. This fete was one of those intimate vibes, rel good times with bess music and great people ... we felt right at home!

With a click here and a click there, de TJJ crew wrapped up the night with some great shots. Ah mean, we wanted to enjoy de vibes too!!! *lol* Fete-go’ers never stopped dancing so we jes joined in de fun got down and dirty! When in Rome ... After the bar closed, yuh know everybody head gone and there was nuttin' left to do but work off all de alco consumed! We skipped around the building, tiefin’ ah bubble here and there to songs of K.O.S. newest female addition, Ms DJ Revz, and before we knew it, the lights were on. When yuh see we steppin ... we "Lookin Hot"!!! When you’re havin’ ah good time, yuh bess believe de time flies. We organized and chipped out the door around 3:30, feeling a lot better that we saw de docta!

Ah must say, doctor fixed we up rel nice!
