The hype surrounding Red Eye this year was just magnificent ... and though there were two Red Eye events on the same day, at the sametime (yes, not cool for us fetegoers who now have to make a choice), Team TJJ made the decision to check out both! I ventured on to The Official Red Eye at Area 51 in Downtown Miami.

The Webster's Dictionary states, "Official" - Something derived from proper authority!! Well, promoter Vaughn properly stamped his name with authority on The Official Red Eye, with it being clearly one of the best parties for the Miami Carnival 2008 Fetealotathon®.

We arrived at Area 51 around 1pm to find a packed house. The venue had one massive room with a large bar area that held about 1000+ people, and a smaller room that held another 5-700. The Red Eye massive pushed those numbers to the limit, because it certainly looked like more than that! So, people in their numbers - check! As soon as we reach, ah 'thickers' push back she bumper on meh ... it was rel pressure! She say, "Yuh could handle this?" Well if allyuh know JoyJuice, ah not backing down from anything!!! Ahhh, lewwe finish dat story later. So, Location/Settings - check!

Now if you were at Red Eye last year (view coverage), do you remember the photos of all the beautiful ladies? Well this year ... my my my ... they really say that the best does come out during Carnival time ... true dat!!! And this year, the NY posse come out rel deep. Absolutely some of the finest women in the dance, and doh talk bout bruckin' out!! Imagine them throwing waist from 10am to 6pm? So if yuh can't count ... that's 8hrs of heavy hitting Soca tunes dat women throwing waist to ... and by the way, Nadine and yuh crew ... wow ... allyuh like allyuh self!!!! And the ladies of the Eternal Vibes crew, especially the ones with the TJJ cards on their chest (photo) ... who by the way is our winner of our "Where has your TJJ card been lately" contest for The Official Red Eye! So, what else can we say? So, Women - check!

Now from experience at most Carnival fetes, it has been pressure by the bar and the bathrooms. But first of all, I want allyuh to take a look at some of the bartenders in this gallery ... uh ummm! Nuff drinks flowing around the massive bar!! And access to the bathroom, no problem. The bathroom was sitting right in the middle of the both rooms - easy access. So bar - check! Bathrooms - check!

Now, for this category, I'm checking before even telling yuh ... dat's to show you how boss this party was!! check!!! We're talking about the sweet DJ line up with Dr. Wax, Fresh Kid, Eternal Vibes, Spoiled Brats, DJ Stephen, Fatal Angels, DJ Star Kid and 'Da Party Rocker' Back to Basics ... all hosted by Vibesman Redman (but wait, like ya everywhere Redman?!). I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but all the DJ's were in sync with each other, even though each DJ crew have their own style. The party almost didn't have a skip in the beats, and that's ideal for the making of a boss fete!! And the time the music did skip ah beat, was when the live drummer's drum set fall over and music stop long enough to find out if the drummer was okay. And the music was sooo sweet, we see a man sleeping hard in de dance. You might say nothing wrong wit that, but guess what? The man was standing up!!! Yup, he was not leaving dat dance ... NO WAY!!

What about live entertainment? Red Eye only needed one entertainer ... but wait, they had to fine him! Ok Ok Ok, there he is wining on ah bumsie!!! "Boss yuh have to go on now." "Ok lady, doh move eh ... ah coming back!" Then Vibesman Redman announced to the excited crowd, Vincy's Problem Child, who grabbed the microphone and rip up de place with his big 2007/2008 tune "Party Animal".' Well if allyuh see party animals in de place ... pure pressure!! So, Entertainment - check!

And people, by the way ... if yuh wondering if everybody eyes were red? Doh play yuh ent know!!! …, and for sure!!! So, some other checks ... Security - check, Parking - check, everything else was go to go!!

All in all, The Official Red Eye Breakfast Party had all the makings of ah best party. When the TJJ crew left at 6.30pm, de dance was still ram, so there was no telling what time people eventually skated out, but it was a wrap for TJJ!
