We can't get enough of the St. Lucia action. After Jazz on Saturday night, the faint of heart headed home, but not Team TJJ. smile Rodney Bay calling!! The big Red International Carnival Band had unveiled its 2Kgreat portrayal, “Simply Beautiful” at a press launch Wednesday gone, and tonight they teamed up with Dutch Entertainment for the 2K8 Carnival Jump Off ... "Red Ignite". We were treated to the band's costume presentation, which was quick and painless, and the costumes were not too shabby at all. There was somewhat of a theatrical presentation introducing such sections as "Simply Breathtaking", "Simply Traditional" and "Simply Tropical."

On the cast tonight we have Iwer George, KMC and St. Lucia's own, Ricky T. Local acts entertained the early fete-go'ers, but as expected the three headliners tore down the old Coco Cabana grounds. Ricky T's is heading towards another successful Carnival season with 2008 releases "Party Cya Done" and "Too Much Rum In Your Glass" already bubbling. And he has more up his sleeves!! KMC started the hype with his recent hits "The Season Is Mine" and "Take Over" and later demonstrated how to do the dance for 2008 track "Carnival Clap". Of course, no KMC performance will ever be complete without "Bashment to Carnival". Iwer ... was classic Iwer! He even allowed folks from the crowd to come up on stage to buss the dance by singing with some classic Lucian tunes for the Soca lovers.

It's 5 o'clock and time to head back to the "resort" to catch 40 winks. Tomorrow is another big day with the grand Finale of Jazz.

Thanks to Red International and Dutch Entertainment for having us.

The Appraiser aka "I Swear I was There" for the TJJ Fam.
