“Who Say Fabulous!?”

So we are well into our TJJ Notting Hill 2008 Fete-lympics® - after having been to two launch parties (the first heats … where the weak are eliminated) – D Launch UK & Sex And The City, and one sailing event – Melange 2, we are now ready for the fetes – and what better to start with than an All Inclusive – Brian Danclair & Friends Trini Luau 2 – The Return! Last year was the first instalment and it was quite promising, so we looking forward to even more this year.

World’s End Studios – Chelsea – London – The UK Baby – We Love It – Cosmopolitan Society – Different Cultures – Sexy People – All Kind Of Spice – Just Your Typical Grocery Aisle For Spices & Herbs! Event Carded to start at 5pm and we jamming until morning. DJ’s carded for the event are Arch Nemesis, The Mighty Jugglers, & Che in De Mixx!

TJJ Dictionary Of Party Terms

All Inclusive – “Awl In-Klōō’siv” - noun – Pay A Set Price, Drink And Eat To Your Hearts Content, Wine And Jam On Everybody And Anybody In The Party, Listen To Great Music, Wear Your Most Fabulous Outfit, Sexy People, Ambiance, Something Different From Your Regular Party.

On the menu – curry goat, salt fish, cassava or yam, dhal-pourie, chicken, pork, and something like ackee. Drinks on the bar were – Jamaican Rum, Johnny was walking, Jack was there with Daniels, Vodka was definitely Absolut and the Oak Rum apparently was quite Royal. Furthermore, the bartenders – the various bartenders – concocted a “rum punch” … once it was yellowish – next time it was red …. and the colourful immaculate drink was served to us while we were jamming out on the dance floor.

Entertainment was provided by some J’ouvert like characters, a man who was eating some fire who in turn was on some stilts … and some rasta tassa men … Only In London!

The vibe of the event was “fabulous” – it was the word of the night – our infamous friend from New York had all but “fabulous” things to say – whose wife was not fabulous, whose mammary gland was not fabulous (even got a kiss in), whose male organ was not fabulous, which gay couple was not fabulous, whose outfit was not fabulous …. We Say It Was A Fabulous Time!!! A mixture of people present, no bad vibes present, great food, and great music (we take time here to give Che In De Mixx a spectacular round of applause for playing the music from the 90’s that shook our waistlines out of control … General Grant’s "Rev De Engine" and Kindred’s "Roll It" ... just to name a few).

At the end of it all – this was definitely a must come to party – Danclair you need to have one next year – please don’t name it “Trini Luau 3” – use a word or something …“Trini Luau Requiem” … “Trini Luau (Location) … “Trini Luau U-Turn”… or better yet “Trini Luau Triple Back” … just some suggestions.

We loved the idea of the Finger Food – and one main food bar … but a bit more food was needed there chef!! They underestimated the greediness of Caribbean people as at one point the food was running low, but they quickly replenished however. The other thing we heard was that they were also lacking cups in the end, so it was a keep yuh cup policy. On the plus side – your food tastes really “Fabulous” … so why not make this event your PREMIUM event – show off your skills man – we know you have them!

Danclair, with a little help from his friends,we think has finally delivered and gotten the crowd that he always nearly threatened to get in the past. This one was real nice, and all promises were fulfilled!! We wait for the next instalment of an all inclusive in the TJJ Notting Hill 2008 Fete-lympics® - can “PoisonUK Next Level”, “Shipwrecked” and “UK Tribe All Inclusive” surpass the bar that Brian Danclair & Friends has set? “Who Can Be More Fabulous?”

Another one down … and we don't know how many more to go …TJJ Notting Hill 2008 Fete-lympics® has begun baby!
