Hey Honey Bunches of Oats! It's finally Friday ... Yayyyy! Time to hit the clubs. Today we're headed to Queens for Contagious 4. It's been a while since we roll up in Queens boy, and as usual, on the way up we got lost. It didn't take us long to find our way doh, as the TJJ mobile got an upgrade - we have navigational system now!! smile

Finally we arrive to Club Chemistry. This was actually a nice choice for the venue. I liked it a lot. The vibes was a lil' quiet, but I guess we were kinda early. We got a round of drinks by the bar, and rocked back to the sweet Soca in the mean time.

I looked across the room and realized that Back to Basics (B2B) was about to play, and boy what a shock I got. B2B was bussing reggae ... I mean up to date stuff like Mavado's "I Am Blessed" and Vybz Kartel ft Spice "Romping Shop". I've never witnessed him playing Reggae before, and I loved it! The Techno segment was sweet too!! It reminded me of my Webster Hall days.

Time flying by, more alcohol is circling, and the vibes picking up a notch. Well boy, we in Queens, so once DJ Teddy Mohammed stared to play some Chutney... it was a wrap! If you see slackness!! *lol* We mus also large up DJ Tony Tempo reppin' for Hotlanta. As I was making my rounds I bumped into local artists Lyrikal and Da Ma$tamind. Ma$tamind was scheduled to perform so they were just liming in a corner til it was time for business.

About two Heineken's later, and it was show time. I don't know if folks were jus tired at this point, but I found dey were kinda dead for the performances. Guest artist Yung Fire ("No Behavior") kicked things off. Then it was Ma$tamind ("Rum & Roti"). A couple of partygoers ran up to the stage, and Ma$tamind even run down into the crowd to teef ah wine ... but nothing major. I don't know, maybe it's jus me. After the performances, we basically said our good-byes, but being the haunted individuals that we are, we headed back to Brooklyn to find an after party. We hear Secrets.. so that's where we headed.

Fadda Singh, thanks for the invite. We'll definitely do this again. Who say Contagious Pt. 5 "Pirates of the Caribbean Edition" Memorial Weekend - Sun May 24th!
