Energy 2009 And the Battle continues.... It's Day 2 of my "Army of One" Cayman Carnival battle, which meant more beach time, then out on a friend's boat, then to Swanky's Mas Camp to catch some jokes, and back to the Comfort Suites & Resort to freshen up for de Friday night fete - High Energy. This fete, held at The Royal Watler Cruise Terminal, was put together by the Cayman Carnival Batabano folks. When
we reach the venue, The Dragonnaires (of Byron Lee & The Dragonnaires)
were on stage entertaining the crowd. They sang everything form back in time Soca
to the current 2009 hits. The crowd enjoyed their show, following every instructions
that The Dragonnaires told them to do. If they said jump, well the
crowd was jumpin!
In between acts, the crowd was entertained by Cayman's finest, DJ YoYo & DJ XS of Vibe 98.9 fm. They even had a wining competition on stage. Big up to de wining queen from Jamaica... dem girls couldn't test yuh! The DJ's kept the energy up until The Dragonnaires returned to the stage with TnT's Iwer George. I
have to take a lil' pause for the cause here.... dem Batabano people took de time
to organize a foam pit for you all, so why I eh seeing NOBODY, not one single
soul, jump in ... steuuuups! Even the same people who where loving up de foam
at Swanky's
Glow Foam Fete the night before were totally dry... I don't get it! Doh
worry, I fixing yuh all next year, I jumping in and taking allyuh in with me!!!
Well
the wining eventually stopped, music done but we still there liming with de Bajan
crew (large up all Baje Int'l crew) until security kicked us off de venue (AGAIN).
I tell yuh, it's like security has to throw TJJ out of every fete we go to ...
shame! But yuh dun know we take our liming just as seriously as our feting, so
de lime continued at the hotel till de whee hours of the morning. It buss when
the hotel got so much noise complaints that they had to assign a security guard
just to patrol our floor!! I ain't gonna lie doh, we (team Swanky) created alot
of havok on de 3rd floor. I am surprised they didn't kick all of us out that night,
yes. Comfort Suites & Resort, I will like to sincerely apologize for all de
headaches we caused all weekend .... blame it on de ah-ah ah-ah ah-al-co-hol!!!

The band then took a well deserved break and on came my boy Rupee with
DJ Fuzz! Okay, why girls always lose their good minds every time Rupee
hits the stage?? Behave yuhselves nuh man ... LOL!! Rupee serenaded the
crowd with his groovy hits... my fav being "You Never Know",
which he dedicated to Cyntie Harris, a friend who passed away recently. This song
really speaks to me eh, but I'm not going there right now. He then switched it
up and had the crowd jumping in a
