Saturday night was night two of Fashion Week Trinidad and Tobago. The audience was treated to wide array of the talent that Trinidad and Tobago’s fashion industry has to offer the world. The night’s designers were Meiling and Anthony Reid, DAV originals, Kumba designs by Queen Esther, cia’s fashion, Glen Montes de OCA, Radical Designs menswear, Sean Griffith Perez, and The Cloth. There were a range of design styles from safe and practical to more artistic, and shall we say daring?

The evening opened with Meiling and Anthony Reid menswear who delivered an exciting and sophisticated showing of ready to wear pieces with clean lines. As the evening progressed the other designers took full advantage of the forum to showcase their art. The night closed with The Cloth. Their presentation opened with a modern dance piece, which was followed by models who carried plants as accessories as they made their way down the runway. That was definitely an interesting touch that made the final presentation stand out. It also creatively tied the night’s theme Clean Air and the overall Green theme of FWTT.

So fashion show aside, Trini’s themselves were on show on Saturday night as they came out looking fab! We were quite impressed with the cuteness and dapperness brought forward by the girls and guys respectively. Also, we must make mention of what we thought was efficient organisation on the part of the FWTT committee. Media check in was smooth sailing once again and we were able to get a great spot to capture the night’s events. Patrons seemed to be impressed as well, as we didn’t hear any stewpsing or complaints as they sipped complimentary cocktails before entering and mingled after the show.

All in all the second night was another generally successful showing that we thought upped the ante from the first night and helped to peak our interest for what was to come on the following nights.
