The Kiddies Carnival is sponsored by the nearby Yorkgate Mall and is volunteer driven to support our youth. The revelers range in age from 4 to 16. It is a very colourful showcase of costumes and lyrical talent.

The day embodied sunshine and clouds with the ongoing threat of a thunderstorm which would of blown some of the little revelers away. The wind was so bad at some points that the adults had to take over pulling the Jr. King and Queen costumes along  the parade route. In some cases it took 4 adults just to get a handle on it and to keep pieces from flying off into the air. The rain held off though and the parade went on without a hitch.

As with any carnival there is the threat of getting tired real quick if you don’t have the stamina. Well these kids showed resilience even though some of them had to hang on a real long time before they got over .... >> READ MORE
